В период XVIII–XX веков в России, включая Рязанскую губернию, детские приюты стали важным институтом призрения, возникшим в ответ на растущую проблему сиротства и беспризорности. Первоначально учреждаемые как часть государственной системы социального обеспечения, приюты постепенно развивались при поддержке частной благотворительности и общественных инициатив. В статье представлена история создания и развития детских приютов, в том числе, в Рязанской губернии, общие тенденции и региональные особенности, а также их вклад в решение социальных проблем того времени.

In the period of the 18th and 20th centuries in Russia, including the Ryazan province, orphanages became an important institution of charity, which arose in response to the growing problem of orphanhood and homelessness. Initially established as part of the State social welfare system, shelters have gradually developed with the support of private charity and community initiatives. The article presents the history of the creation and development of orphanages, including in the Ryazan province, general trends and regional features, as well as their contribution to solving social problems of that time.
